Former LOK Members Return With New Band
June 8, 2004Former LOK members Martin Westerstrand (vocals) and Daniel Cordero (bass) have joined forces with drummer Ian-Paolo Lira and celloist Max Flövik in a new band called RALLYPACK. The band are currently finishing up the recording of their debut album and have signed a management deal with Jonas Curling, who was previously head of promotions at Stockholm Records and label manager at Universal Music. The album will be released sometime in the fall.
The metal/hardcore hybrid LOK was one of the best-selling Swedish bands in the heavy rock genre, with 120,000 albums sold and two gold-certified CDs between 1996 and 2003. In 1999 they won a Swedish Grammy in the category "Best Hard Rock" and the same year they were the most popular band ever to play at the second biggest stage, Pampas, at the Swedish Hultsfred festival.
